Reports

  • Local Democracy Week 2004 - Making Your Mark - 18th-24th October 2004 (Item for Information)
    • At a recent conference delegates heard that a YMCA survey revealed that only 2% of young people thought that their local council had any power and 50% thought their council had no direct control or relevance to their lives. The LGA is encouraging councils to work together with young people and help to make the case for local democracy. What ideas do you have to promote young people and democray in local democracy week.
  • Contamination of the River Stour at EyeBridge, Pamphill, Wimborne (Item for Information)
    • Following an issue raised at the last meeting attached is a response from the Environment Agency. Further corespondence is awaited from the Health Protection Unit and will be circulated as soon at the meeting.
  • Youth Issues Action Group (Item for Information)
    • At present no money has been allocated to Youth Issues. The attached report provides a breakdown of the nine proposed areas of funding and their budget allocation for 2004/2005
  • Millennium Volunteers (Item for Information)
    • The Youth Forum requested that they be updated on the Millennium Volunteers Project
  • East Dorset Youth Forum Web Pages (Item for Information)
    • At the last meeting of the East Dorset Youth Forum it was decided that suggestions for the new name for the East Dorset Youth Forum Web Pages be brought to the next meeting. If any new names had been created by young people it was requested that those names be raised at the next meeting.
  • East Dorset Youth Forum Logo (Item for Information)
    • At the last meeting of the East Dorset Youth Forum it was decided that suggestions for the new design of the East Dorset Youth Forum logo be brought to the next meeting. If any new logo styles had been designed by young people it was requested that those designs be brought to the next meeting. Logo ideas would also be submitted by the Design and Print Team of East Dorset District Council.

    • This is an opportunity for you to bring up any items which have not already been covered on the agenda
